Heidi & Spencer get married AGAIN!

If you watch The Hills on Monday nights like I do, I know you do not like either of them. They are both so annoying, fake and to top it of not good friends to have. They are both made for each other! So their wedding is going to be the finale of the show, nice. I mean, I didn't really expect much but still. Well, they got married this past Saturday.

Here are 2 pictures of the Newlyweds. Mr. & Mrs. Pratt.
And you can go HERE to see a video clip of when they exit the church.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

I can't wait to see it!!!

It's going to be my type of movie....funny....romantic....and cute! The hubs already told me that he too wants to see it (Shhh...he loves romance comedy just as bad as I do). And...come on guys, who doesn't love Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner?!? If you have not seen the trailer for the movie, check it out HERE.

By the way, it comes out this Friday. I am going to ask our besties...if they want to watch it with us. Can Friday come any faster?

Dancing with the Stars

I'm so sad about last nights show. I know that we are already down to the best dancers and its sad to see any of them go but not Chuck and Julianne. I really wanted for Chuck and Julianne to go atleast a little bit further, they deserved it. He has improved soooo much! In the beginning the boy couldn't move and now he is keeping up with Julianne. Which by the way-aren't they the cutest?!? There was a rumor that he was going to propose to her on the show but he didn't. I wish them lots of happiness and love.

Knowing & Willing

"Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do." -Johann Wolfgang von GoetheSparkpeople Translation: "Can you think of a time that you watched something happen without standing up for what you believe in? It is not enough to know what you believe in. You must be willing to use your passion to fuel success. Even if it is doing a small simple action, you must DO. Think about what you believe in and try to make a stance. Even if you just choose someone else to share your beliefs with, it is a start! "

Gym Update: Day 3. I was in less pain than yesterday but it was still there. I did 3.20 miles. I was forced to walk even faster because my treadmill was broken and I couldn't decline the speed, I was only allowed to make the speed go faster. Ha! I took it as a sign and stayed on the "broken" machine. Did more distance than yesterday due to the forced speed and I feel great! Still in pain but GREAT that I actually waking up so early and completing my daily goal.

Enjoy Life

"Stop living life for what’s around the corner and start enjoying the walk down the street." -Grant L. Miller

Sparkpeople Translation: "When we become too goal centered it becomes easy to completely live in our vision of where we will be in the future without noticing the improvements that we have made in the present. The road to self-change is a long trip, and it is very important to realize what we are shooting for, but we need to make sure that we keep our head in the present so that we can begin enjoying the progress we’ve made to date. If your goal is to loose 40 pounds, then instead of waiting to lose 40 pounds to celebrate, enjoy the small victories and take advantage of your improved health now. This will also serve as motivation to continue striving for our aspirations. If we set ambitious goals then we need to enjoy the road to accomplishing those goals, because life might pass you buy if you are always planning for tomorrow without ever enjoying today."

Gym Update: Today is Day 2. I woke up just fine but man oh man...I am SORE! I stretch out all the time but today I did it a little bit longer. I decided to take it slower today since I was in so much pain. I walked 2.65 miles on the tredmill. My feet are killing me! When I took my sneakers off, sure enough I have a blister. Boo! When I put on my high heels, oh. MY. goodness. it HURT! As soon as I got into my office, I took my shoes off. I have my own office so no one will notice. I pray that my blister and pain GOES FAR FAR AWAY!!!!

All or Nothing

I absolutely love this song! It's right up my alley...very motivational! And since I just starting working out with my husband (today)...you know this song got downloaded into my Ipod yesterday. When I heard this song play today...I ran like never before. lol. You can listen to it HERE, its from the movie Save the Last Dance...in that video you can also watch the great dance moves!!

Here are the lyrics:

"All or Nothing"
Athena Cage

It's the chance of life, get ready, set, fly high.
Above the fear of your mind, go for it.
It's hit or miss, too late for you to quit.
You gotta show 'em how bad you really want this, so...

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem.
You gotta work to get the green, on your hopes you must lean
From your fears, you have to wean yourself.
It's all or nothing, give your everything...

Are what you believe, you got to bring the dreams.
Set the pace, competitions take the lead.
This is it, all eyes on you.
So stay on point and prove,
that you deserve whats long overdue.

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem.
You gotta work to get the green, on your hopes you must lean
From your fears, you have to wean yourself.
It's all or nothing, give your everything...

My heart is still recovering,
From the heartbreak of another kind,
I'm still drying my tears.
Getting over my own fears in my life.
So I wanna make sure this time that I'm strong enough,
To give it my all...

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem.
You gotta work to get the green, on your hopes you must lean
From your fears, you have to wean yourself.
It's all or nothing, give your everything...

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem.
You gotta work to get the green, on your hopes you must lean
From your fears, you have to wean yourself.
It's all or nothing, give your everything...

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem.
You gotta work to get the green, on your hopes you must lean
From your fears, you have to wean yourself.
It's all or nothing, give your everything...

So you gotta live your dreams,
So don't you be afraid.
Just set the pace, and take the lead,
It's your time to shine.
Please believe

Great Start

Goooood Morning :)
Well, as planned we started our work out today in the morning. We woke up at 5am and went early to the gym and....I got to work 5 minutes EARLY! Woohoo! lol. I actually woke up at 4:30m, since I knew we had to wake up early my mind sets his own alarm clock so I stayed in bed till the actual alarm went off. We had a really good work out. I am so proud of myself. I did a whole 3 miles. I haven't been to the gym in such a long time so that to me was awesome. Soon I will have much more miles but we gotta start somewhere. I will admit I feel GREAT!

Our weekend was relaxing. On Friday, my hubby's cousin from Spain came over with her boyfriend. We had a good time! They are super cute! On Saturday, I tanned while MR. JL was being his handy man self. You see, we have a slide in our pool but it doesn't have water coming down so you slide on your own. Mr. JL wanting to make it more fun...went to Lowe's and bought a few things. Came home started to work on it and in about one hour we had water flowing down the slide. It came out awesome! The kids were over and they immediately tested it out. They love it! The usual family and friends came over and we had a typical Saturday at home. Pool. Dinner. Domino's. Good times. I am normally always my hubby's partner because we play very well together but sometimes I get distracted and mess up. No one can stand Mr. JL when he loses so I switched and played with my father in law. We make an even better team! WE beat everyone!!! Ha! even my hubby...TWICE! He was very proud of me. :) On Sunday, we did nothing. We enjoyed each other and watched movies all day long in the comfort of our own bed.

MOVIE REVIEW
Bedtime Stories
A+
We are Adam Sandler fans because ALL his movies are hilarious and cute. This was no exception! It was adorable! I recommend anyone and everyone to go rent the movie and watch it. I promise you...you will laugh and you love it. Oh yeah and the kids will love it too!

Bring Your Child 2 Work Day

Well not my child but my little brother...who is like my little one. He was born when I was 19 yrs. old so I took him every where with me and still do. I love having him around. Anyway-today here in Miami is bring your child to work day. Each year I bring one of my siblings but my brother is the one that always wants to come with me. When my sisters were younger they use to want to come with me but now that they are "older" they want to stay at home instead. A free day off from school. But not my little brother...no...he loves to be with his big sister no matter what. He brought a book to read, his Nintendo DS, a few other things. I brought him a coloring book and a few new movies just in case he gets bored. Oh and let me not forget the yummy cookies I brought him.

Here are some pictures I have of him in my work computer.
His first day in Preschool (4 yrs old)At Kaitlyn's 4 th birthday (which makes him 5 yrs old in this picture)A day in the park with his big sis...probably about 5 or 6 yrs old.Bubble bath night...6 yrs old
Of course, him and I at my wedding. He was 7 yrs old.
He loves me soooo much! This was at his birthday wkend I planned for him. (8 yrs old)
So as you could see...he is my life! If I am ever invited to kid party...he is my date. And whenever there is a cool movie he wants to see...I take him.

Our New Goal

This week the hubs and I were suppose to start a heavy workout plan. Due to the weather on Monday, plans were cancelled. Excuses...excuses (I know). Yesterday when I got home from work, I asked him whether we were going and he tells me, "Babe, I think its better if we go to the gym in the morning. At night we hardly have time and if we go in the morning, we could go to the one close to work and you can get to work on time." I laughed. Of course, I would love to go to the gym in the morning. So yay to that! but what made me laugh was the...make it to work on time part. You see...I have a VERY bad habit of getting to work always about 10-15 sometimes even 20 minutes late. The gym he wants us to go to is right down the street, meaning if we get there at 5:30AM we could work out and leave by 7:30AM and I will for sure make it on time to work on time. I then told him, that I needed for him to update my Ipod and of course...he said he will work on it tonight. Ah..I love him so much! He is the BEST!!!

"There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results." -Kenneth Blanchard

Sparkpeople Translation: "Are you interested in your goals, or are you fully committed? One of the most common complaints among goal setters nowadays is that there’s just not enough time to get to the ones that “really matter.” The real culprit is that most people don’t raise their goals beyond the level of general interest. They’re waiting for a vague time in the future when other things won’t get in the way or when they wrap things up. In other words, when it’s more convenient. And of course, that time never comes, does it? If your goals are truly that important to you, don’t let anything stand in your way. You have the power to say ‘no’ and to set your priorities. Make that commitment and you automatically create an obligation that you’re bound to fulfill. "

My new commitment is to wake up every single work day at 5AM to make it to the gym each morning and start working out. I will give updates on our progress.

Rainbows

So appropriate for today...

"If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain" -Dolly Parton
Sparkpeople Translation: "There are few things more beautiful or childishly exciting than finding a rainbow after a thunderstorm. Maybe it was a nasty storm, but the wonder of a rainbow might make it seem worth it. The parallel here seems almost obvious. Sometimes in life, we have to go through certain trials in order to reach the desired ending. Is the ending worth the troubles that bring it about? You have to decide that for yourself. Being positive can certainly make it seem that way. Sometimes, reaching goals demands a lot of hard work along the way in order for them to happen. Are you willing to put up with the rain?"

This has always been one of my favorite quotes when I have gone through tough situations. When it pours, there is always sunshine afterwards. Something to look forward to. Rain is sometimes necessary to appreciate the good that's coming.

Rainy Tuesday

This is how the weather is here in South Florida today...

Yup...lots and lots of rain and thunder in our area. So if you are in South Florida, make sure to have your umbrella handy. Oh and lots of patience with all the crazy drivers. On days like this..I wish I was home right now with my hubby watching movies under our covers.

Monday already?

We had a pretty relaxing weekend.

Friday...we did our weekly cleaning and at night we went over my hubby's parents house to play some cards. Saturday...we had breakfast in bed. Our favorite! Then we watched...

It was a super cute movie. Johnny seemed to love it too! :)

After the movie, I took a nap and the hubs kept watching tv. Probably an hour later, my sister in law & her family came over our house and wanted to hang out. So we played some domino's. We then invited more friends over. She and I cooked some yummy dinner and continued with the fun. The last ones there were, my sis in law, her hubby who was sleeping inside, my mother in law and us. We played cards till 3:30 AM. I didn't even realize it was that time because we were outside talking so much. Talk about time flying when you're having fun...when it was time for us to go to bed. The hubs and I were not tired at all...hello it was 4 in the morning!?!? So of course, we attempted to watch a movie at that time. Ha! but our sleep caught up to us. We slept till about 11am. Not much. and then Sunday...was yet another relaxing day for us. Overall...very relaxing weekend. Our favorite...

I've been tagged

Tag, I'm it...I was tagged by Eli

The Rules are as Follows:
1. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs for brilliance in content/design.
2. Show the winners and let them know.
3. List at least 10 honest things about yourself.

So here goes:
  1. We love to travel. Anywhere. Even if its for a weekend trip to Orlando or to the Keys. We love to pick up and go. We hope to soon go to our dream locations (Italy, Greece, & Eygpt).
  2. I love to be around kids. They make any day...the best day by their simplicity.
  3. I love school. Always have. I guess I'm a nerd. Should have studied something more challenging like medicine. I picked Psychology because I wanted to help children more and also to help parents be better parents. Definitely going all the way with my studies.
  4. Being at home with my husband makes me happy. It relaxes me. I use to love goinging out to dance but now I love being at home with my husband, enjoying each other.
  5. I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I never knew this till the moment I was about to walk to get my diploma. Of course, I was super excited! It was great news and something that I am VERY proud of!
  6. Our family mean to the world to the both of us. We are very close to both of our families and thank God my prayers were answered when I had asked God a while ago to please find me a man whose family would unite perfectly together with mine.
  7. Even though, I am working my butt off in school. I secretly want to be a housewife! ha! Seriously..I want to stay at home to raise our children when the time comes. Crossing my fingers....
  8. We love watching movies! We collect our favorites, we have our own Blockbuster at home. lol.
  9. I get really annoyed by ignorant people.
  10. Saving the best for last...the 1st day I kissed my husband, I knew he was the one for me. I kid you not, I went home that night telling my mom and sisters, that I had already found my Mr. Right. And here we are now...happily married.

TAG, you're it...

  1. Just Another Day in Paradise
  2. My journey toward: The Glamourous life of a Housewife
  3. Off the beaten path
  4. Tripping down the Aisle
  5. Pocket Full of Pink
  6. Simple Yet Classic
  7. Jenuinely Inspired

these ladies are fun to read!!! Enjoy!!

Lesson Learned

I went over to my dear blog friend Jenny at Home Sweet Home & got inspired to change my background. (I have blog layout ADD too) I found some really nice layouts over at Template Mama. I picked one. Spent all morning working on my layout. Decided to change my blogs name. And then ALL of my favorite blogs got deleted! Just like that. I could scream! I lost some websites that I don't even know their names, I just saved them because I really liked them. :(

So yeah you could just imagine, how very frustrated I am right now.

If you had me as blog you read, its time to change my blog address on your end. I am so sorry for doing this to you!!! I promise you I will NEVER do it again! lol.

Anyway-enjoy my new layout. I really hope you like it because I don't know yet if it was worth losing all my blogs for this.

And FYI don't change ur blogs name EVER! If you do decide you want to change it, make sure you have ur blogs saved. This serves as a lesson learned..boo!

Making Time

"You will never find time for anything. You must make it." -Charles Burton

Sparkpeople Translation: "Are you making time to do the things that are important to you? Many of us get caught up in work and in other things that we have to do and we forget to make time to do the things we really want to do. For example, if you have a book that you’ve been trying to read for the past year and you continue to tell yourself that eventually you will find the time to finish it…chances are you won’t. You have to make it happen. Set some time aside specifically for that purpose each day or once a week and make it happen. Achieve one small goal that you’ve been setting aside and this might give you some fuel to complete others. Make a decision today to make time and stop trying to find it. "

Continue making yourself better!

"Consult not your fears, but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you have tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do." -Pope John XXIII

Sparkpeople translation: "How many times has somebody told you to “think positively”? Easier said than done, right? But this truly can make a difference in your life. Focus on the good, and learn from the bad. You have the freedom and ability to choose your own attitude. What will you choose? Enthusiasm can carry you through a lot more than you think. Never just be satisfied with what you have, but keep working to achieve more. Set specific goals and work for them. After you have accomplished them, set new ones. Keep working to make yourself a better person."

Easter Wkend Recap

Thursday

As planned we went on a double date with our best friends, Indy & Russ. We had planned of going to dinner and watch, Fast and Furious 4. When we got there, Russ asked us if we wanted to try out Cine bistro. It's a theatre and you get to eat dinner while you watch the movie. None of us had ever gone before. We were all starving...so we decided to give it a try. We had arrived there early so we took advantage and watched the movie at 7PM. It was not packed at all, which is what we wanted. As soon as they walked us in, we loved it. The food was delicious. The drinks were yummy. And the movie was filled with lots of action. Fast and Furious was very good. Critics gave it a C-, we gave it an A. It was good and entertaining. Cine bistro gets an A+. And from now on that's where we will watch our movies from. It wasn't all that expensive either. The movies came out to $25 (it includes valet parking) & our dinner was about $45. Not bad. it was definitely a GREAT Thursday night and good times with wonderful friends!!!
Friday

We had to change plans since the weather wasn't all the great. Instead of having the kids over on Friday, it switched it for Saturday. We really wanted them to enjoy their day in the pool so they understood. The hubs and I stayed home, took care of some things around the house and later on at night we went over some friends house. Since we were by my parents house, we picked up my little brother and stayed the night so that he would be there for Saturdays activities.

Saturday

I made breakfast. My hubby went and picked up our nephew. My other nephews and niece got dropped off. I went out with my mother-in-law to get the rest of the Easter things. that adventure by itself took 2 whole hours. lol. She loves to shop! I had to tell her, "it's 1PM, I want to get in the pool, let's go." So when we got home, of course I had to make them ALL lunch. Prepare the Easter eggs while they were in the pool. AND by 3PM, I FINALLY got to go in. It was a beautiful day! The pool was awesome! We played the kids. We made up games as we went along, they loved it. After we were all done with the pool. All the kids went to take their showers. Then I lined them up (youngest first) and let them out to find their eggs in our backyard. They ran around like crazy. They loved it! Next was dinner time. After dinner we painted hard boiled eggs. And if all this was not enough, my sister in law made them each their personal cake with ice cream. they were in heaven!!! They played around for while and then it was time for bed. I put on a movie for them and they each fell asleep in 30 minutes. They must have been exhausted!

Sunday

I dropped off my brother early in the morning that that he could make it to church with my mom and sisters. Then I went straight back home to take care of the rest of our kiddies. I made them their pancakes and some eggs. Our youngest nephew tells me, "Man- TiTi Joey you make better breakfast than IHop". That of course made my day!!!! lol. After breakfast, we all headed to the pool. Some family came over with 2 more kids, we all had a fabulous day out in the pool. We didn't get out till 6PM! I, of course got brunt! My sis in law made some yummy dinner and then we played some domino's.

Overall, it was an amazing weekend!!!!!

TGI Thursday

Yippee! It's Thursday! I have no work tomorrow, so today is my Friday! And as if that weren't enough my job always lets out early on days before holidays, so I will be outta here before I know it. Plans for this long wkend are the following:

  1. Tonight - Double date night with our bestfriends, Indy & Russ. We are planning on going to dinner and then later to watch, Fast & Furious.

  2. Friday - NO WORK! WooHoo! First thing in the morning, we will be doing our weekly cleaning and then once we are done, we will be picking up ALL of our kiddies (our nephews, niece and my little borther). We will be bringing them back to our home because we a few things lined up for them. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt. We will go in the pool. AND ALL 5 of them will be spending the night at our home. So it's going to be a LOOOONG Friday and Saturday for us. They are all hyped and ready to go. My nephew has been asking me everyday, "Titi Joey, how long till it's Friday? I want my cookies and milk" Too cute! Once its time to hit the sack, I always put on a movie for them and bake them some cookies. They love my cookies.

  3. Saturday - make breakfast for ALL my troops (including my hubby). Then yet another day in the pool. I am really hoping that the weather is good to us. Last week it was PERFECT! But this week its been kinda cold so I have all my fingers crossed that it gets back to be H-O-T. After BBQing the parents will pick them up and then WE get to relax.

  4. Sunday - Easter. Spend it ALL day with my hubby.

The JL Family would like to wish ALL of you a....
